At FIRERRR, when we think about gifting, we can come up with millions of options. But as we carefully select the best ones—gifts we would love to give to ourselves or our friends—it takes time. A long time. And we’re still refining the process.

1. Why Do We Want to Gift?

My brother always says, because of love. Yeah, he feels naturally happy when giving me gifts. I guess those who genuinely love you just want to see the beaming smile on your face when you unwrap their gift.

We live only for a short time. What matters most are the memories we create with the people we love.

But again—what is love?

Guys, if you’re reading this blog, you’re in love with someone. That someone could be a friend, a family member, or the one. It’s him or her who led you here to FIRERRR, and we’re happy for you.

2. Gifting Takes Time—But We Don’t

We don’t want you to spend too much time searching for the perfect gift. That’s why we carefully go through every item on our website as if we’re choosing it for our own beloved friends.

Take, for example, our first-ever product line—the Alabaster Table Lamp.

It was my ideal gift for Yetta, my best friend and co-founder of FIRERRR.

Yetta is a homebody. She rents a small but cozy apartment, and since I move around a lot and travel frequently, I’ve crashed at her place more times than I can count. Whenever I don’t have a place to stay, she takes me in.

Her apartment is filled with cute little things that make it feel like home. Since she has always been like a beaming light to me, I wanted to find a way to light up her life, too. So I got her a lamp. And it turned out she loved the idea.

She always says that if she had a big home of her own, she would decorate it like paradise. That dream—of able to create anything—is what FIRERRR stands for, too.

FIRE = Financial Independence, Retire Early.

We don’t know when that dream will come true, but for us, FIRERRR itself is a gift. It might take time to see results, but we enjoy the journey of building it.

3. Is There a Perfect Gift?

I think so.

Over the years, I’ve received many thoughtful gifts, and I still keep some of them to this day. Even though some of the people who gave them to me are no longer in my life, their gifts remain, carrying the memories we shared.

A perfect gift could be that moment—the moment an idea sparks in your mind, the moment someone unwraps your gift and their smile lingers in your heart.

Perfect gifts exist, but they come in ever-changing forms. You’ll know it when you see it—when something catches your eye, and you say to yourself, this is exactly for her or this is exactly for him.
